The Angaza Gala Dinner 2026 Finally happened!

The Angaza Gala Dinner 2026 was more than an evening of celebration. It was an opportunity to bring together leaders, community champions, partners and friends of Angaza Wellness Foundation to strengthen relationships, explore new partnerships and reaffirm a shared commitment to mental health and community wellbeing.

Held on 2 October 2026 at Manzil Hotel, Upper Hill, Nairobi, the inaugural gala brought together people from different sectors for an evening of elegance, meaningful conversations and renewed hope for the future of Angaza.

An Evening to Remember

The Angaza Gala Dinner was a moment to celebrate the Foundation’s journey, reflect on its growing impact and create opportunities for collaboration. From the elegance and glamour of the venue to the warm ambience and hospitality, the evening provided a memorable experience for guests. Yet, beyond the beautiful setting, the heart of the gala was the people who came together, united by the possibility of making a difference in their communities.

The event brought together founders, executives, community leaders and other stakeholders who share an interest in community development, mental health awareness and social impact.

Among the distinguished guests were Pastor Robert Burale, a renowned Kenyan public speaker and author, and Madam Eva Nakola, a community leader whose work through community-based programs reaches communities in Narok and Kajiado counties.

Strengthening Partnerships and Creating New Possibilities

One of the most encouraging outcomes of the gala was the opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and explore new avenues for collaboration.

The event was attended by representatives of organisations that have worked with Angaza and share its commitment to community wellbeing. These included the Director of Megawatt Family Foundation, the Director of Angaza Empowerment Training Center, the Founder and Director of Light of Life Organization, and the Director of The Great Awakening.

These leaders affirmed their commitment to continuing to work together with Angaza, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in addressing mental health challenges and responding t o the needs of communities.

The gala also created an opportunity for Angaza to engage with individuals and prospective partners who expressed interest in exploring ways to work with the Foundation. These conversations opened the door to potential collaborations that could strengthen mental health awareness, youth mentorship, community empowerment and psychosocial support initiatives.

For Angaza, these connections represent an important step towards building a stronger network of partners committed to creating practical, sustainable and locally driven solutions to mental health challenges.

The Angaza Spirit Was Alive

Behind the elegance of the evening was the dedication of the Angaza team. From the planning stages to the final moments of the event, Board members, volunteers and the gala organising team contributed their time, energy and ideas to bring the occasion to life.

Their enthusiasm reflected the spirit that continues to drive Angaza Wellness Foundation: people coming together, using their abilities and working towards a shared purpose.

The gala was also a reminder that building a community-focused organisation takes more than a compelling vision. It requires teamwork, consistency, partnerships and a willingness to keep learning and growing.

A Promising Future for Angaza

Speaking during his opening remarks, Angaza Wellness Foundation Founder and Executive Director, Ken Kayange, described the gala as an important milestone in the Foundation’s journey.

“The Angaza Gala Dinner 2026 marks the beginning of great things ahead. It is the start of a promising future for the organisation and for mental health awareness in general,” Ken said.

He further emphasised the importance of partnerships and collective action, noting that meaningful progress depends on the willingness of individuals and organisations to work together towards a common cause.

For Angaza, the gala was not simply about hosting an event. It was about building relationships, strengthening the Foundation’s visibility and creating a platform for conversations that can translate into meaningful action.

As the Foundation continues to grow, these relationships will be important in expanding its reach and strengthening initiatives that create opportunities for people to learn, grow and heal.

More Than a Gala Dinner

The Angaza Gala Dinner 2026 marked an important moment in the Foundation’s development. While the work ahead remains significant, the relationships strengthened, new connections established and commitments expressed during the evening provide a valuable foundation for the next chapter.

Angaza remains committed to advancing mental health awareness, supporting individuals and communities, empowering young people and creating safe spaces where people can access knowledge, support and opportunities for growth.

The Foundation recognises that sustainable impact is built through consistent action and genuine collaboration. The conversations started at the gala must therefore continue beyond the event, with a focus on translating shared interest into practical partnerships and community impact.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Angaza Wellness Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to its Board of Directors for their leadership and guidance; the gala organising team and volunteers for their dedication and hard work; its partners for their continued collaboration and commitment; and every guest, supporter and f riend who contributed to making the evening possible.

We are especially grateful to the organisations and individuals who expressed their willingness to explore further partnerships with Angaza. Your interest and confidence in our work encourage us to keep building, learning and creating more opportunities to serve our communities.

As we look ahead, we remain hopeful about what we can accomplish together. The gala was one milestone in a much bigger journey, and we look forward to nurturing the relationships formed and turning promising conversations into meaningful action

UPCOMING EVENT 2ND OCTOBER 2026

The Angaza Gala Dinner 2026 Is Finally Happening

An evening of purpose, connection, generosity and Doing Life Together. The wait is finally over. The Angaza Gala Dinner 2026 is happening!

We are incredibly excited about this moment. Our hearts are filled with joy as we look forward to an evening that is not only about celebration, but also about purpose, connection and making a difference together. For Angaza, this gala represents much more than a dinner. It is an opportunity to bring people together around a cause that continues to grow in urgency: the mental wellness and empowerment of our communities.

The Need Is Greater Than Ever

Every day, the world continues to call for help. At Angaza, we have always been willing to step in and respond to these needs. However, the reality of limited resources often means that our hands are tied, even when we know there is more we could do.

Prisons are calling for mental health support. Young people are calling for mentorship, guidance and opportunities to discover their potential. Communities on the other hand are looking for opportunities to be empowered, equipped and supported to build better lives.

There is so much work to be done. And we believe that we do not have to do it alone.

Why the Angaza Gala Dinner Matters

The Angaza Gala Dinner 2026 provides an opportunity for people who believe in what we do to stand with us and support the work directly.

The evening will help create greater awareness around the work Angaza is doing while mobilising resources to strengthen and expand our community-based mental health and empowerment initiatives.

Our work is built around a simple belief: local challenges require local solutions.

Through our programs, Angaza continues to create spaces where people can learn, connect, receive support, discover opportunities and grow. The gala gives us an opportunity to bring more people into this journey.

What to Expect

The Angaza Gala is not simply a moment for people to give. It is also a moment to connect.

We are bringing together thought leaders, executives, professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders, mental health advocates, partners, friends and people from different fields who share an interest in creating healthier, stronger and more empowered communities.

We believe that some of the most meaningful solutions begin with conversations. A conversation can become a partnership. A partnership can become a program. A program can change a life. We also believe that a group of people committed to a common purpose can transform a community. This is the spirit we want to create at the Angaza Gala Dinner.

What Your Support Will Help Us Do

The resources mobilised through the gala will contribute to strengthening Angaza's ability to respond to the growing needs within communities.

Among the areas we are seeking to strengthen are:

  1. Community mental health awareness and education
  2. Individual mental health support and safe spaces
  3. Youth mentorship and empowerment
  4. Community outreach initiatives
  5. Coverage of mental health support within institutions and vulnerable communities
  6. Skills development and empowerment opportunities
  7. Expansion of Angaza Wellness Centers and community-based initiatives
  8. Development of sustainable programs that can reach more people

Our ambition is not simply to reach more people, but to build systems and programs that can continue creating impact long after a single event is over.

An Evening of Connection and Celebration

This year's gala promises to bring its own level of uniqueness.

We are looking forward to welcoming guests from different sectors and backgrounds, creating an evening where people can meet, exchange ideas, build relationships and explore opportunities for collaboration.

There will be opportunities to hear more about Angaza's journey, the work we are doing and the vision we have for the future. Most importantly, it will be an opportunity to celebrate the people who have walked with us and to welcome many more people into the Angaza family.

Doing Life Together

We believe that nobody should have to navigate life's challenges alone. Communities become stronger when people show up for one another, when resources are shared, when knowledge is exchanged and when people choose to be part of something bigger than themselves.

The Angaza Gala Dinner is our invitation to you to come celebrate, connect, hear the Angaza story, support the work and most importantly, do life together with us.

Scaling Up? Yes, That’s the Answer

Angaza Wellness Foundation is entering a new chapter and the signs of growth are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.

Whether Angaza is scaling up or not is supposed to be the question, but apparently it is the answer.

Speaking to stakeholders and members of the Angaza community, the Founder and Executive Director of Angaza Wellness Foundation, Mr. Ken Kayange, confirmed that Angaza is indeed scaling up—perhaps to levels that had not initially been foreseen.

According to Ken, the expansion of Angaza’s volunteer base, the onboarding of a new seven-member Board of Directors, and the significant resource mobilisation currently underway are some of the clearest signs that the organization is entering a new phase.

“Angaza is no longer for play,” Ken said, reflecting on the growing structures, commitments and expectations around the organization.

He noted that all seven Board members, together with the management team and the wider Angaza fraternity, are working towards the realization of what has come to be known as the Angaza Dream.

"Just fasten your belts and see Angaza unfold."
Ken Kayange, Founder & Executive Director

Five Years Of Doing Life Together

Angaza has now been working within Kenyan communities for approximately five years.

What began as an idea has grown into a community-driven organization with an expanding network of volunteers, programs, partners and supporters

Ken believes the organization has reached a point of maturity that calls for a bigger vision and a greater level of investment in its work.

He described the journey so far as a test of time—one that Angaza has managed to navigate despite operating with limited resources.

For an organization built largely around volunteerism and community participation, reaching more than 100,000 people directly is a milestone that the Angaza team considers significant.

“We have done a commendable job as an organization. Reaching a record of over 100,000 people directly impacted with the limited resources we have had is something to be proud of. We are only looking forward to a brighter future,” Ken said.

A New Chapter Is Already Taking Shape

The growth is not only visible in numbers.

Over the past year, Angaza has been putting greater emphasis on strengthening its internal structures, leadership, programs and resource mobilisation efforts.

The onboarding of seven Board members has brought additional expertise and leadership into the organization, while the expanding volunteer community continues to provide the energy and human capital behind much of Angaza’s work.

At the same time, the organization is exploring and developing initiatives designed to create more sustainable opportunities for communities. The goal is clear: to build an Angaza that is stronger, more structured and capable of reaching many more people.

The Founder Has Been a Busy Man

For Ken Kayange, the year has been one of building, fixing and preparing. Much of his focus has been on strengthening the organization from within and ensuring that Angaza is positioned for its next stage of growth.

Some of the fruits of this work are already beginning to show. One of the most significant milestones has been the acquisition of Angaza’s first-ever physical office—a development that marks an important transition for an organization that has spent much of its journey operating through community spaces, volunteer networks and shared platforms.

The office represents more than a physical space. It is a sign of a growing institution. It provides a place from which the team can coordinate its work, engage stakeholders and build systems that can support Angaza's expanding ambitions.

So, Is Angaza Scaling Up?

The answer appears to be yes.

The question now is not whether Angaza is growing, but how far this growth can go—and what can be built from the foundation laid over the past five years.

With a growing volunteer base, a new Board, increased resource mobilisation, stronger internal structures and a physical home for the organization, Angaza is preparing for what could be its most significant chapter yet.

For the Angaza community, there is a sense that something bigger is taking shape.

And as Ken puts it:

“Just fasten your belts and see Angaza unfold.”

The journey continues.
